Yes, since 1990 over $5.8 million dollars of unpaid taxes, penalties and interest are owed to the LTISD! Kind of makes Board member Mayo Davidson’s $63,244.50 unpaid tax bill look small.
You would think that the LTISD has finally discovered that parents have rights and that parents are an integral part of their child’s education?
Just how many of our tax dollars were spent in senseless lawsuits to teach the LTISD Board that parents have such rights?
Rocky told the audience during the March 2008 LTISD Board meeting:
“I want the parents to know that we are hearing them, and they have every right to deliver that message to us.”
Mayo was quoted in an article in the Lake Pointe Hot News Bulletin (May 2002):
“Likewise, our taxpayers, who have been, for the most part, tremendous and generous supporters of our schools, are now being forced to fund projects, initiatives, and who knows what else in districts all over Texas.”
Have you ever seen a school board so consumed with themselves?
Visit any other Texas ISD web site and you won’t see as much self promotion as the LTISD Board.
Just like the LTISD! Is this the sort of issue that the LTISD Board wants to promote as having already taken the lead?
