Finally, I have obtained the 2009/2010 LTISD salaries for ALL the employees^TPIA.

I don’t think Susan Bohn knows what “any and all” really means. I guess that is why she is only being paid $140,000/year!!! Susan Bohn is the third highest paid employee of the district and yet … Ever wonder how much damage she could do if she were paid more?

Susan Bohn should do something other than make more problems for the district who then has to pay other lawyers more money to fix. Perhaps Susan could start by returning phone calls to other attorneys?! Who knows, perhaps Susan wants to stir the pot?

Well no surprises for the highest paid LTISD employees:

It was recently brought to my attention that if you add up the salaries of the top ten LTISD employees, you get $1,394,074.00/year! That’s a lot of money for a school district of a little more than 6000 students and rated “Academically Acceptable!”

I added up all of the salaries and got a total payroll for this year of $35,819,377.00. That means that the top 10 employees out of 911 from the list or 1.1%  district’s employees make 3.8% of the total payroll!

Wow, the LTISD with only 6139 students¹, making Rocky’s salary $41.18/student! Compare that to the salary of other superintendents in the state. Make sure to then compare the other superintendents salaries to their district’s TEA rating.

The LTISD is Academically Acceptable, again. And we wonder why?

I have recently obtained the 2008-2009 salaries for the employees of the LTISD and have posted them for your benefit^TPIA.

Unfortunately, the district did not give the data to me in the annual salary format as they have for the previous two years. I will publish the data as given to me on September 9, 2009 until I receive the data in the required format.

The current documents provided to me break down salary on a daily or hourly basis. So, until I get the data in the right format, you will have to figure out the annual salaries based on this current data and the 2009/2010 pay scales. The pay scales will tell you the number of contract days for each position.

Example: Dianne Frost, Deputy Superintendent is listed as making $663.72/day and is a 100% full time employee. Using the data provided by the pay scale, we find out that a Deputy Superintendent is under contract for 226 days. Dianne’s annual salary is: $663.72 x 1 x 226 = $150,000.

Example: Kathleen Hassenfratz, Character Education Coordinator is listed as making $327.43/day and is 50% full time employee. Using the data provide by the pay scale, we find that the Character Education Program Coordinator is under contract for 226 days. Kathleen’s annual salary is: $327.43 x 0.5 x 226 = $37,000.

It has been brought to my attention that the district left off several names in their responsive documents. I am in the process of letting them know and will post the missing names and salaries as soon as I receive them.

Apparently the LTISD has made a series of gross errors and have not included many of their current staff, including teachers who have been working at the district for over 15 years!

Update:

I was given a document containing the names of all the employees of the district^TPIA and there are 116 names listed in this document which are not included in the the salary list^TPIA!

Not only that, but there are 55 names in the salary list^TPIA who are no longer employeed in the district!
