A recent article on the Texas Watchdog web site discusses “how local governments are repeatedly punting open records requests to the state attorney general’s office, taking up everyone’s time and money.” They should have considered the LTISD and their handling, or should I say mishandling, of public information requests.
The LTISD is probably the best example of wasted time and money. They have brought a lot of their costs and then some of their “imagined” costs upon themselves. Perhaps someone can point out the really bad way that the LTISD handles their requests.
Example: Rocky hires Susan Bohn. Another bad choice. A decision worse than making “Loosey Goosey” the Director of Special Education. At least “Loosey Goosey” is now exiled to the Community Programs Department.
Rocky, just how has Susan been working out for you?
Example: Why does the LTISD now require that public information be reviewed at the EDC building rather than the Administration Building?
t certainly is much less convenient for them with the additional costs in personnel and the transportation of documents, and …
Why have they started doing this?
Was there a connection between my public comments about the needless tax increases?
Why do they want to increase their costs which they already claim to be so burdensome?
Can they prove their claims?
Oh, did I mention, the district has gone to the additional expense of hiring Chris Gilbert to deal with Susan’s most recent blunder?
Rather than return phone calls and emails, as I would assume her job requires, the district went outside to pay another lawyer to clean up yet another one of “Bohn’s Blunders.”
