The LTISD paid Thompson and Horton another $4,000 for “Legislative Services,” but this time, the bill says July 2009TPIA?
I already reported about this happening in June 2009.
Just what are they trying to squeeze past us?
Are they trying to cover up paying our tax dollars out to lobbyists with $4,000 a month? Why just $4,000 per month?
Let’s see now, that makes for a total of $8,000 so far:
| “Legislative services rendered in June 2009,”TPIA | $4,000 |
| “Legislative services rendered in July 2009,”TPIA | $4,000 |
| Total: | $8,000 |
How many more months of “Legislative Services” does the LTISD owe Thompson and Horton?
Just how much of our tax dollars is going to be squandered by the district as they dilly dally in politics rather than do their real job which is to wisely spend our tax dollars to educate our children.
Just look, at least $8,000 in “legislative services” later and yet the best the district could do is “academically acceptable.” Again!
It’s true: “Stupid is as stupid does!”
This really smells and not only that, how does all this sit with the Texas Ethics Commission? I guess “legislative services” isn’t considered lobbying? Then just what is it?
The district’s legal bill says it was for “Legislative services rendered in July 2009,”TPIA but according to the Texas Ethics Commission lobbyist list, there is no record of anyone from Thompson and Horton representing the district. Interesting …
Note that the district’s General Counsel, Susan Bohn initialed the bill. I guess her initials make it “okey dokey.” Remember Susan Bohn came from the law firm which spawned Thompson and Horton. Amazing coincidence, or is it?!
