Rocky tells us among other things:
How can Rocky keep a straight face when he says: “The opportunities provided by you as Lake Travis ISD taxpayers?”
I wonder if Rocky can truthfully answer the question: “Does anyone believe that individuals should not take responsibility for their own actions?” Does Rocky really believe that?
Remember Rocky wants to extract more tax dollars to make up for the district’s fiscal and academic responsibilities.
We need to remind Rocky that since the beginning of this reign as superintendent in 2002 certain unflattering facts are evident:
| Year | Rocky’s Salary | Average Administrator Salary | Average Teacher Salary | Revenue/Student |
| 2002-2003 | $154,600 | $64,259 | $39,972 | $6,932 |
| 2008-2009 | $247,840 | $94,222 | $48,386 | $12,9002 |

How can Rocky keep a straight face when the revenue per student has risen over 86% since 2002 and yet the district has only been able to achieve an “academically acceptable” rating this year?
What happened to “the most exemplary school district in Texas” that Rocky was bragging about?
But to be fair, Rocky is not completely responsible, or irresponsible if you may. The Board has rubber stamped Rocky’s decisions. Since when has the Board they taken any responsibility for this mess?
Of course Rocky’s tax payer comments are directed only to those of us who bear the burden. Based on documents received from the district through the Texas Public Information Act, Rocky’s comments wouldn’t include Mayo Davidson.
How can Mayo Davidson, who has not paid the LTISD almost $42,000 in taxes, vote to approve a rollback election increasing the taxes of those who do pay?
I guess ethical questions are not Mayo’s strength since he is on record as having been found guilty of professional misconduct.
Let’s ask ourselves some tough questions regarding the proposed “rollback” election and particularly about those who are allowed to vote on matters of taxation:
Isn’t this taxation without representation?
How can people who don’t pay taxes vote to increase taxes of those who do pay taxes?
How can people who’s taxes are frozen or exempted vote to increase the taxes of those who do pay taxes?
