I noticed that someone made a TPIA request to the district on January 31, 2009 for the following information:

  1. Average Teacher Salary for each high school (Grades 9-12) in your district and/or jurisdiction.
  2. Approximate Salary for each Head Football coach at every high school in your district and/or jurisdiction. (2008-09 if possible).
  3. Approximate budget for football at every high school in your district and/or jurisdiction (2008-09 if possible).
  4. If available. athletic travel budget in regards to football (2008-09 if possible).
  5. Approximate budget for maintaining the football stadium. including construction of new stadiums and facilities. (2008-09 if possible)
  6. Average Daily Enrollment for each high school (Grades 9-12) in your district and/or jurisdiction

Amazingly enough, Marco Alvarado rather than Susan Bohn answered Mr. Lyke on February 10, 2009:TPIA

  1. Average Teacher Salary for each high school (Grades 9-12) in your district and/or jurisdiction.

    Answer: $43,605.12

  2. Approximate Salary for each Head Football coach at every high school in your district and/or jurisdiction. (2008-09 if possible).

    Answer: $108,978.10

  3. Approximate budget for football at every high school in your district and/or jurisdiction (2008-09 if possible).

    Answer: Supplies: $25,358, Travel: $7,000

  4. If available. athletic travel budget in regards to football (2008-09 if possible).

    Answer: $7,000

  5. Approximate budget for maintaining the football stadium. including construction of new stadiums and facilities. (2008-09 if possible)

    Answer: $30,000

  6. Average Daily Enrollment for each high school (Grades 9-12) in your district and/or jurisdiction.

    Answer: 1,811

Don’t ask the district for a copy of what they sent to Mr. Lyke or else Susan Bohn will ask the Attorney General for an opinion regarding it’s release.

Hey Susan, don’t you know that you have already released the informtion to Mr. Lyke? Doesn’t that make it public already?
