Yes, another of “Bohn’s Blunders!” Just what does Susan Bohn think she is doing? Well, not proof reading her own letters that’s for sure.
Here’s the story:
I received a letter on November 21, 2008 from Susan Bohn regarding dates in which I may review documents responsive to one of my TPIA requests:
“Requests for which documents will be available at a later date
Documents responsive to the following request will be available for your review at any of the dates and times listed below.

-Susan Bohn, correspondence, November 21, 2008, page 2
How can I review documents “at a later date,” February 2008, when Susan Bohn’s letter was dated November 21, 2008?
Like I said earlier, perhaps, Susan was not wrong but simply making application of Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. Einstein said that time is relative, depending on your frame of reference. I guess that the LTISD’s frame of reference is different than the time reference used by the rest of us?
Surely this was a typo?
Susan must have neglected to proofread her letter before sending it. Makes you wonder just what else she forgets to review?
On November 22, 2008, I sent an email to Susan’s assistant, Jennifer Sabrsula asking if the dates quoted in Susan’s signed letter was indeed a typo. This was my second email regarding blatant errors in Susan’s November 21st letter.
“Susan Bohn’s November 21, 2008 correspondence contains another error.
Susan writes that I may review responsive documents to my request 110708-R096 on either Wednesday, February 11, 2008, Thursday, February 12, 2008 or Friday, February 13, 2008, and that I am to inform the district no later than February 10, 2008.”
-David Lovelace, email, November 22, 2008
Here is were the story gets comical or embarrassing if you are Susan Bohn. Jenifer Sabrsula replied to my email on December 1, 2008 saying:
“Mr. Lovelace –
In the letter that you reference below, dated November 21, 2008 (Certified Mail #7007 0710 0003 9310 8934), the District informed you that documents responsive to your request number 110708-R096/DL 3541 would be available at a later date. The dates listed in the letter are the dates the District is providing you to choose from for your review of responsive documents. The statement you reference is not an error.
Documents responsive to your request number 110708-R096/DL 3541 will be available for your review at any of the dates and times listed below.
Wednesday, February 11, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Thursday, February 12, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Friday, February 13, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Please contact me at 512-533-6483 or via e-mail at sabrsulaj@ltisdschools.org no later than Tuesday, February 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. to confirm which of these dates and times you have selected to review the documents. Alternatively, if none of the above dates and/or times is convenient for you, please contact me no later than Tuesday, February 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. to schedule an alternative date and/or time for your review.
Thank you,
Jennifer Sabrsula”
-Jennifer Sabrsula, email, December 1, 2008
Great! Not only is Susan Bohn is having her assistant Jennifer tell me that original dates were “not an error,” but the district reiterated the same dates again!
Just what is going on here?
Just how ludicrous can you get?
Perhaps Susan is out to prove another one of Einstein’s theories:
“Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity.”
-Albert Einstein
It obviously can’t all be poor Susan Bohn’s fault.
- Remember the District’s decision to hire an in house legal counsel since they were being subjected to “abuse of governmental processes?”
- Remember that Susan Bohn was hired by the district in November 2006 for $96,124/year only to get her salary increased to $125,000/year by July 2007!
Who made the decision to hire Susan Bohn?
Was it Rocky, the Board, or the combined foolishness of both Rocky and the Board?
No matter what, the tax payers are left paying the bill for stupid decisions about how to spend our tax dollars.
