Yes, the LTISD much like the Eanes ISD claims to be under full compliance with the Federal statutes mandated for accessibility, but when the rubber meets the road, they are found to be otherwise.

This is the second time that the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Civil Rights found the district to be out of compliance.

The district has agreed to make the necessary changes so that they will be compliant with Federal laws. Hey, Rocky even signed this agreement!

Unlike written Board policy, Federal laws are not optional. Rocky needs to learn that fact.

In the meantime, Rocky and the Board can rest assured that I will actively advocate for the rights of ALL students, parents and district tax payers (sorry Mayo, can’t help you)
