“I want the parents to know that we are hearing them, and they have every right to deliver that message to us.”

Well, isn’t that refreshing to hear!
I wonder if Rocky didn’t call J. David Thompson III first to ask if the district could these sue parents over ‘abuse of governmental processes.’ I think that ship has been sunk, but who knows, the LTISD has a history of spending our tax dollars to sue parents for exercising their rights.
Perhaps Rocky gets it now, at least he said “I get it” during that March Board meeting.
