Did you know that Mayo Davidson owes over $60,000 to the Travis County Tax Assessor?

Well, as of March 24, 2007, Mayo actually owes Travis County $63,244.50 in unpaid taxes, from as far back as 1989.

I have asked Mayo to tell us more about his tax status, but he ignored the request, much like he ignored his tax bill.

Just how does Mayo, an elected official make decisions on how to spend OUR tax dollars when he doesn’t pay taxes?

Tell us Mayo, we all want to know.

What other tax issues are yet to be discovered about our malevolent Board member Mayo Davidson?

We already know how much Mayo hates taxes, he publicly proclaimed his “hatred of taxes” on August 13, 2007.

Now we know Mayo simply avoids paying his fair share of the burden he imposes on those of us who do pay our taxes.

Did you also know that written LTISD Board policy CCG (LEGAL) has provisions for the collection of taxes from deadbeats such as Mayo?

Who else in the LTISD Administration and/or the Board knows about Mayo’s contempt as a citizen of this community?

Why hasn’t the LTISD enforced the collection of these back taxes?

Who is “looking the other way” and why?

“The Board may contract with any competent attorney to represent the District to enforce the collection of delinquent taxes. The attorney’s compensation is set in the contract, but the total amount of compensation provided may not exceed 20 percent of the amount of delinquent tax, penalty, and interest collected. Tax Code 6.30(c)” - LTISD Board Policy CCG (LEGAL)
