Rocky says in a short treatise on the subject of his “education philosophy”TPIA that:

“Please explain your education philosophy.

As a citizen, I believe that public education is a critical foundational underpinning of our democracy. Throughout our nation’s history, we have reaped the blessings of our founders who were wise enough to recognize and create a framework for governance that establishes the right of every citizen to pursue their dreams. If that right is to flourish and remain safe, then we as a people have a responsibility to provide opportunities for all of our citizens to attain an education. An educated citizenry provides the framework from which we can all pursue social, economic, political, and spiritual strength.

As an educator, I believe that it is the responsibility of the school-community to provide educational opportunities that reflect the values and needs of the community and to recognize that our children must be prepared sufficiently to allow them to live and prosper beyond the physical limits of our city, state, or nation. In order to provide these opportunities, the school-community must demonstrate a strong relationship among and between stakeholders that transcends economic, social, cultural, and ethnic variables. Simply stated, the community and the district must establish a collegial relationship based on trust, common purpose, and a vision for their children. For this to become a reality, the school-community must collectively, and individually, be willing to commit their time, resources, and intellect toward this purpose.

My educational philosophy is not a complicated one, nor does it attempt to speak to every educational fad or promise that is being made today. I found in my career that keeping it simple allows me to maintain a clarity of purpose and focus that serves the students best. In that regard, I simply believe that we must know what we desire to accomplish, and to thoughtfully and consistently provide the resources and support to our campus administrator, counselors, teachers and staff that will allow them to carry out this mission. Each student is different, and each will require something different of each teacher and staff member with whom they come in contact. By meeting each student “where they are” and committing to the promise we have made to each other within the school-community, together, we can travel the educational path with purpose, joy, and success!

I hereby certify that the information in this application is true and correct.”

Wow! Got to ask Rocky couple of questions:

  • Does Rocky believe that government should sue it’s citizens?
  • Does Rocky believe that government is a servant of the citizens?
  • Does Rocky believe in the transparency of democracy?
  • Obviously Rocky must have changed your “educational philosophy” since your Would Rocky please share his updated “educational philosophy” with us?
  • Perhaps Rocky should ask the Board to finance the services of a consultant to help you revise your “educational philosophy.”
  • Does Rocky believe that suing parents and tax payers established collegial relationships?
