Probably not news to you, but they did it again. I discovered in some documents that were recently provided to me that discloses the Social Security Number for the new Director of Special Education, Becky BurnettTPIA (I have redacted the number for Becky’s sake.)
I hate to say it Becky, but welcome to the LTISD!
I must make a plug here for Becky Burnett, whom based on my initial impression is the antithesis of the former Director of Special Services, Pamela Carroll also known as “Loosey Goosey.” I wish Ms. Burnett well and look forward developing a collaborative relationship.
The LTISD cannot be trusted to keep confidentiality and I really don’t think that Rocky believes that there is a problem, other than my exposing the district’s incompetence and reminding him that HE is responsible.
Oh, by the way, this document was provided to me by the District’s Legal Counsel, Susan Bohn, who handles all of my TPIA requests with the district.
The LTISD Board does not seem to think that there are any problems either. I sure hope the Board remembers all the times I have told them about these blunders and all the times they failed to take action. Are they accountable, especially since I have told them repeatedly? Hmm… I hope this does not come back to haunt them.
I have recently discovered that a copy of some of my son’s recent education paper work uses his Social Security Number! This was used in place of his Student ID. Student IDs were created to get around using Social Security numbers! Oops again LTISD! I guess that your own written policies and guideliness are simply “suggestions?”
Hey Rocky, start taking confidentiality seriously. You even told me one day that in the end, all that I will have is a bunch of little mistakes that we (the district) have made.
Rocky, how many “little” careless (as in preventable) mistakes does it take until you get a “big” mistake? Just what would you call a “big” mistake?
Did you know that the LTISD is looking for “cohort districts” and “lighthouse districts?” »« Did “Loosey Goosey” leave another permanent mark on the district?
