Just what is a “cohort district?”
Just what is a “lighthouse district?”
After attending the September 6, 2007 Board Workshop I heard these terms being used ad nauseam.
It seems that the Administration is really troubled by their second consecutive “academically acceptable” rating. The LTISD is spending inordinate amounts of time in pursuit of alternative metrics in their self-conceited attempts to bolster their already tarnished reputation.
Did you know that the state assessments are “unfair” and that it reduces everyone to the “least common denominator?” These were among the choice idioms used by our Board.
Why not face the facts and realize that the Administration led by Rocky has failed the district’s students, parents and let’s not forget the tax payers who bank roll their quest in search”cohort schools” and “lighthouse districts.”
Can you believe this? Of course you can since they just won’t own up to their own lack of integrity and take responsibility for their failures.
