It was much along the lines of the LTISD press release which tried to spin the positive over the reality of their failure for the second year in a row, the third “academically acceptable” rating in the past 11 years.
Hey Rocky, just why is it that: “It is unfortunate that LTISD student performance is above 90 percent in all tested grades… yet that is only rated ‘acceptable’”*?
Rocky, have you read the Richardson ISD’s web site? I won’t bother you with the details of just how badly managed the LTISD is compared to a district over 6 times the size of the LTISD, but here is an excerpt from their web site:
The Texas Education Agency has confirmed that Richardson Independent School District has again earned the distinction of being a “Recognized” school district, based on 2006-07 student performance. It marks the second consecutive year RISD has earned the distinction, the largest urban district in Texas to do so. ….”**
NOTE: “RECOGNIZED…AGAIN!” compared to the LTISD: “ACCEPTABLE…AGAIN! It’s just not fair! …”
Rocky, you go around touting how the LTISD had more campuses attain an “exemplary” rating (one more campus than last year), here is what the Richardson ISD was able to do:
All of this and the Richardson ISD is only paying their superintendent $161,216.00 compared to Rocky’s $225,000.00 annual salary (not including those “payments by other entities“).
Talk about efficiency, the Richard ISD Board of Trustees is getting “recognized” ratings led by a superintendent that is being paid $4.74/student compared to the LTISD led by a superintendent who is being paid $40.34/student!
Just what is the LTISD Board thinking? One wonders …
