Did you know that Linda McDaniel left the district in the summer of 2005?
Melissa Loe recently updated the LTISD’s posted Texas Public Information Act (TPIA) notification.
Even the department name is out of date. The LTISD renamed the Special Education Department to the Special Services Department shortly after Pamela Carroll became the director.
What else is out of date?
I doubt that any updates relative to the new changes to the IDEA are included. The LTISD claims that “IDEA 2004″ became “General Effective Date July 1, 2005″ in their document: “IDEA Improvement Act of 2004 Summary of Major Changes”.
Perhaps this was just one of the many reasons for “Loosey Goosey’s” exile to the department of Community Programs?
Another indication is that the document LTISD identified critical employees as working in the Special Education Department or Administration:
| Debi Gafford | (Debi left the district in 2005, her husband, Dan Gafford is still employed by the district) |
|---|---|
| Catherine Crowder | |
| Pamela Carroll | (Listed as the “Supervisor of Special Education” in this document, preceding her rise to the Director of Special Education and subsequent exile to Community Programs) |
| Linda McDaniel | (Listed as the Director of Special Education, she left the district in the summer of 2005) |
| Cynthia Clinesmith | (Cynthia finally retired from the district this last year) |
I am sure that it will only be a matter of time for Becky Burnett, the new Director or Special Services, rectifies this and many other important matters.
So much fuss about just one document you say? Well, this is just the tip of the iceberg!
I am sure that these issues “will take care of themselves” just like Rocky says.
Did you know that in 2007 the LTISD was given a rating of “Academically Acceptable” by the TEA? AGAIN! »« Did you know that Sean Casey charges the district for travel to set up a laptop at a school within the district?
