Did you know that the LTISD had to go to the Eanes ISD to get documents to fulfill a public information request*?

Susan Bohn, LTISD Legal Counsel, said in her April 24, 2007 response letter^TPIA:

“… the District did not maintain a copy of the e-mail. On April 12, 2007, the District requested and obtained a copy of the e-mail from Eanes ISO, and now maintains a copy of the document. It is enclosed for your review.”

This leads to some important questions:

• Just why didn’t the LTISD maintain a copy of the e-mail?
• Just what is the LTISD email retention policy? (I have asked but cannot get an answer. I don’t think the LTISD really knows)
• Why did the district have to go to the Eanes ISD to obtain a copy?

Another interesting question is why did the LTISD redact Susan Tolles e-mail address in the header but not redact it in the text body? Why redact it at all?^TPIA I have been given numerous documents which includes not only her email address, but also that of Mayo Davidson whom they also redacted.
