Did you realize the difference in the salary and pay increases between the LTISD Superintendent and teachers in the district?

See for yourself. The graph shows that since 2001, the superintendent’s salary increased by 85% while teacher’s salaries increased by only 9%.

Did you know that between 2001 and 2006, we have experienced 13% inflation? That means that the teacher’s pay has not kept pace with inflation, but the superintendent’s pay (not including all of the other benefits) has outpaced inflation by over 650%!

Looks like the teachers have been are not as valued as their management.

What a shame, one guy gets all the dough and the people who make the “rubber meet the road” get the crumbs!

Of course, you can extract all of this data and many more interesting facts for yourself from information posed on the TEA Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) Reports web pages.
