Jim, just what was the LTISD Board of Trustees doing if they were not planning to seize the land of a citizen of our community?

Why did the Board of Trustees go through all of the hassle to only “move on”* after causing all of this trouble?

No Jim, you should apologize, not try to double speak an escape path. But as we have already seen, the current LTISD Board of Trustees is incapable of doing anything so noble or honorable, or tell the truth.

Good work Jim! I am sure your comments only helped to further the Board’s already tarnished reputation.

Jim, I don’t think many people will believe you when you say: “But we intend to move forward in a manner that will earn your continued trust.”*

On January 30, 2007, the LTISD released a document titled “Land Acquisition Statement Letter” which states:

“After continuing to discuss the availability of potentially suitable property for the District’s needs, LTISD determined that due to the size, location and other features of the Grumbles’ tracts it was in the best interest of the District – considering its growing student population and facilities needs – to seek to survey and assess the Grumbles’ tracts for their suitability for future facilities.

and it further states:

Property would be condemned only if it were in the best interest of the District and the students it serves, and as stipulated in state law the property owners would receive fair market value for their land.”

This letter would seem to contradict your own written words published in the Lake Travis View.

Jim, tell us how your editorial comments serve to further the “integrity” and “trust” that the current Board of Trustees so desperately seek to obtain?

Just a friendly reminder Jim, the LTISD Character Development Citizenship Components Character Theme for March is RESPONSIBILITY.
