LTISD Info

What happened?

After hearing about this for months from Melissa Loe, and other administrators it is finally here.

Ms. Clinesmith stated on September 16, 2006: “LTISD is in the process of launching a new web site; as such, the current web site is not being updated with the exception of front page or emergency information. The launch of the new web site will include the information requested, anticipated to be within 30 days.”^TPIA

The new site, while making strides to post useful content has made it much more difficult to navigate than the previous version.

Some interesting notes so far:

1. The content promised to me by Ms. Clinesmith been included, but it was not easy to find.^TPIA

2. The LTISD now includes the approved minutes of Board meetings on the web site! A step in the right direction.

3. I even discovered while parsing through their web site (much like the LTISD does to my web site) to the “Public Information Act, Rights of Requestors, Responsibilities of Lake Travis ISD and other important information” document on the “Open Government” web page is broken for Firefox, but the link give here will work in Firefox. You won’t get to this page easily from the home page. In fact I actually stumbled upon it by accident while navigating the site.

At least they post a copyright notice on their site now: “©2007 – present Lake Travis ISD.”
